Gus Brown is an important member of "The Holly Gross Team". Gus grew up in Middleburg, Va hunt country and moved to Pennsylvania in 1997 to further his steeplechase career.

A two-time champion steeplechase jockey, Gus won 122 career races, good enough to reach the top 25 of all-time winning jockeys. He set a record in 2001 when his horses earned $815,897. Gus rode champion Pompeyo for one of steeplechasing's top owners, George Strawbridge Jr., in 2001.

In 2000, Gus began a successful equine bloodstock business which has been responsible for selling top horses such as champion Footlights and Stakes horses Isla Mujeres, Pleasant Parcel, Dark Equation, Orsay and Shahrahere. During that same time period, Gus began to dabble in the real estate market and profited from several personal real estate investments while using Holly Gross as his realtor. Gus retired from riding races in 2004 to focus on his growing equine and real estate interests.

Gus is presently licensed in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Merging his deep knowledge of the equine world, Gus focuses primarily on farm properties in Chester County, Pa. and Cecil County, Md. but is active in all areas of the real estate business. His racing and bloodstock careers make him uniquely qualified to assist purchasers interested in purchasing farms to pursue the advantage given Pennsylvania bred racehorses. He is fluent on the "ins and outs" of this special program.

Gus and his wife, Linda, reside in West Marlborough Township, Chester County with their young daughter, Peyton.
